Master's Degree courses – Department of Leisure and Tourism Department of Leisure and Tourism Majors*: ·Leisure and Tourism Management ·International Tourism Duration: 4 semesters Tuition fee (per semester) – 1,700 PLN. Department of Leisure and Tourism We aim to equip our students with: - comprehensive knowledge and understanding of leisure and tourism issues; - general knowledge; - skills in designing and organizing tourist events; - skilled use of modern IT tools; - organizational skills allowing graduates to work independently as well as to lead and supervise a team; - opportunities to continue their professional development; - effective customer service skills and negotiation skills; - an opportunity to carry out scientific research towards a PhD degree. Graduates will acquire knowledge and practical skills in (extended compared to Bachelor's degree courses): - leisure and tourism management; - autonomous decision-making; - creative problem-solving; - effective team management; - use of modern IT tools in tourism. The courses aim to prepare graduates for careers in: - leisure and tourism businesses in Poland and further afield; - public service; - trade organizations. Major: Leisure and Tourism Management This course is intended for graduates who wish to pursue careers in leisure and tourism management, both in Poland and abroad. The programme is designed to equip graduates with skills and qualifications necessary to perform management functions in the tourism and leisure sector - in public institutions, tourism companies and trade organizations. The course covers a range of subject areas, including: legislation in tourism, hospitality and catering industries, tourist areas, market research and strategic planning, demand forecasting in service development, quality of service monitoring, assessment of competitiveness and new market opportunities. The training will also allow students to acquire interpersonal skills, necessary in management, such as: communication skills, conflict resolution skills, teamwork and collaboration skills, etc. The aim of this course is to prepare experts in the field of leisure and tourism management, working both for the public and commercial sectors. Students will develop necessary expertise in tourism management and marketing, operation of tourist enterprises, law, organizing tourism, promotion of tourist attractions of Poland. Graduates will gain necessary knowledge and skills to work as independent managers in tourism, manage a travel company, conduct marketing activities, analyze and assess competitiveness in the market, etc. Major: International Tourism This course is aimed at students who want to deepen their knowledge and understanding of international tourism. It focuses on benefits resulting from the European border-free zone, increased business contacts and growing globalization. New forms of tourism, particularly business tourism, educational tourism, ethnic and religious tourism, sport tourism and special interest tourism, generate new demands and job opportunities. In addition to the core training in international tourism, the course provides students with expertize in civilization processes in the modern world, globalization, European integration, market competition, intercultural issues and business management. The programme also covers the basics of organization, economics, sociology, geography, ecology and health. The aim of this course is to prepare experts in the field of international tourism operations, especially those who will pursue careers in the commercial sector. Students will develop necessary expertise in quality of service management, structure and operation of the international tourism market, marketing, organizing tourism, promotion of Poland and its regions. Graduates will gain knowledge and skills necessary to design international offers, organize events for foreign tourist and work as independent managers both in Poland and other countries.
